The Social Justice Learning Institute is honoring health equity with their “10 Homes — 10 Seeds” Project. The “10 Homes 10 Seeds” project is but one effort under their 100 Seeds of Change local food system initiative. Every other month, SJLI will build 10 backyard gardens at 10 Inglewood and South LA homes in 1 day! To do achieve this ambitious goal, SJLI is working with volunteers like YOU!
HOW YOU CAN HELP...
WE NEED YOU to volunteer to come out and help us build! Are you interested?
Finally, it's warm enough outside for us to workout TOGETHER again in the beautiful sunshine!
Are you having a hard time finding out how to get physical activity added to your daily life? Well, we would like to introduce you to the many organizations and companies who are looking for people like you!
Educating residents about the importance of creating a healthy and sustainable lifestyle in the community in order to curb the epidemic of food related diseases that exists is an initial priority that has to be achieved in order for this work to be successful. We have developed curriculums that not only educate the residents about these issues but also empower them to be major parts of the solution that is 100 Seeds Of Change.
