30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge Rules PROGRAM OVERVIEW: The 30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge is a component of the Social Justice Learning Institute. PARTICIPATION DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION. Participants are asked to 1) Eat healthy for 30 days and 2) collect donations throughout the 30 days. All the donations will go to the “100 Seeds Of Change” school garden program developed by the Social Justice Learning Institute for schools in Inglewood, CA. The program will develop gardens at all IUSD schools, implement food grown in the gardens into the district school lunch program and develop a district wide curriculum for students to learn how to urban farm. Donations can be made online via http://rally.org/30days (credit/debit card or checking account) or in person to a participating school, student, or individual (cash, check, money order). ALL CHECKS AND MONEY ORDERS MUST BE MADE OUT TO “SOCIAL JUSTICE LEARNING INSTITUTE”.
Eligibility: Any person interested in taking the 30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge is eligible to participate and raise funds on behalf of the challenge. You MUST be a SJLI qualified Inglewood School, and a student attending a SJLI qualified Inglewood school under the age of 18 to be eligible for the grand prizes and rewards.
Schools: All Schools in Inglewood, CA are eligible to participate in the School vs. School competition and CAN compete for the Top School Contributor prizes. Schools interested in participating in the 30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge MUST 1) Go to http://rally.org/30days and click the “Help Fundraise” button to start their own fundraising campaign on behalf of their school for the 30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge. On their individual Rally.org page they can add social media content of their progress throughout the 30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge (videos, pictures, blogs), and have supporters donate to the Challenge online. 2) Go to http://sjli-cp.org/30days to download the “30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge” info packet which includes an in person donor sheet and envelope to be able to keep track of in person donations. 3) Contact the Social Justice Learning Institute to inform them of their participation.
Individuals: Individuals 18 and older interested in participating in the 30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge who ARE affiliated with a school in Inglewood, CA that is also participating in the Challenge can raise funds on behalf of said school. Individuals: 18 and older interested in participating in the 30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge who ARE NOT affiliated with a school in Inglewood, CA participating in the 30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge AND are interested in fundraising on their own for the 30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge MUST 1) go to http://rally.org/30days and click the “Help Fundraise” button to start their own fundraising campaign on behalf of the 30 Day Healthy Eating Challenge.
